Socketing
The socketing procedure involves securing the cable’s end into a conical-shaped metal device called a socket, where a polymer resin is added and cured, becoming rigid without the risk of accidents due to high temperatures. To perform this method, we rely on highly trained professionals capable of carrying out this procedure both internally and externally, on vessels or offshore platforms.
Spooling
Portella Wires can support your company in planning and executing the entire operation, providing spooling services for wire ropes. The Spooling Machine, also known as ‘Traquitana’ in Brazil, is essential to ensure that the winding and unwinding of the ropes are done uniformly and safely, preventing tangling and preserving the integrity of the rope over time. These machines can be operated manually or automatically, depending on the complexity and specific needs of each application.

Technical Inspection
